National Britannia's nationwide team of more than 100 qualified asbestos specialists delivers comprehensive survey, inspection and management services.
These independent services protect businesses and enable them to comply fully with their duty to manage asbestos contained in the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR)2006.
Samples taken during our surveys are analysed by National Britannia's network of UKAS accredited laboratories across the country. We prepare a full report in all cases, including a register of photographs and a risk assessment.
We provide three types of survey:
Standard Sampling, Identification and Assessment
To investigate all reasonably assessable areas and take samples of suspected Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs) for analysis
Location and Assessment
To locate the presence and extent of ACMs for later sampling where immediate sampling is impractical.
Full Access Sampling & Identification
To locate and describe all ACMs in a building, including destructive inspection where necessary. This includes sampling and analysis of all ACMs. This survey often precedes demolition or major refurbishment.
National Britannia carries out regular inspections of any ACM which is not being removed in order that companies can meet their obligation to maintain an accurate and up-to-date register of such material.
Where removal of ACMs is recommended, National Britannia provides independent advice in the selection of a removal contractor and, as a Health & Safety Executive Supervisory Licence Holder, we oversee the contractor's work.
We enable clients to maintain ongoing control over asbestos risks through our innovative online system, ASBESTOScheck Interactive, which prompts site managers to take regular checks and records all actions taken
