National Britannia's water hygiene division - Controls Assurance, has a professional team who are not only highly experienced in the management of water risks, but are entirely independent in the advice and solutions they provide.

We are wholly separate from chemical manufacturers, water treatment companies and maintenance contractors.

Our team works with clients to assess the risks and develop a tailor-made management system which enables them to comply with legal requirements, reduce the risk and demonstrate due diligence.

Remedial Actions

The solution may include physical modification of the systems which harbour stagnant water at dangerous temperatures, or the cleaning of systems which have become contaminated.

On going monitoring and management

Effective control will involve ongoing procedures to monitor water quality regularly, in order to protect users of the building and indeed members of the public outside, who may inhale droplets emitted from cooling towers or such installations. We undertake sampling and analysis of water.

Whilst primarily driven by legislation, proactive risk management such as this is now recognised as a tangible business asset as it promotes operational efficiency and plant longevity

Interactive Management System

At the heart of our approach is a site-specific interactive online system - a module of e-risk MANAGER, which is designed to prompt managers at pre-arranged intervals to carry out the checks needed to reduce or eliminate water contamination risks. Failure to do so triggers an alert, which can be relayed to a more senior level within the organisation, if required.

Consultancy

To help businesses identify the risks and set up control procedures, we help design safe water systems, we audit third part contractors and provide high quality relevant training for management.
